Last year, during November’s earnings call, EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson revealed a tiny bit of promising information regarding Battlefield 6 . According to his words, the game was going to be the biggest one to ever release in the franchise, offering a never-before-seen scale. Although Wilson didn’t specifically elaborate on what this meant gameplay-wise, one would imagine that massive battle encounters await players in the anticipated sequel. It was indirectly confirmed by insiders who claimed that Battlefield 6 might feature 128-player batt
DICE is hoping to but its flagship series back on top with the release of Battlefield 6 , and based on several rumors released thus far, it certainly could do just that. From a massive player count and taking inspiration from Battlefield 3 to a bold World War 3 setting , the next entry in the FPS series is poised to succeed — restarting the age-old debate between whether Battlefield or Call of Duty is the superior multiplayer shoo
However, what makes Battlefield ’s War Story system work has been the settings in which it has been used thus far. In Battlefield 1 ’s World War 1 setting, players witnessed the engaging stories of a renegade American fighter pilot and a struggling British tank crew. In Battlefield 5 ’s World War 2, players fought to reclaim French land and filled the shoes of a Norwegian freedom fighter. By covering different scenarios from past wars, these split storylines did not just serve as a fun way to justify showing the conflicts going on around the world, but also a way to show respect to those who ser
The new Battlefield will be the first in the series since Battlefield V in 2018, which was a bit of a mess. The World War II shooter was buggy and had a lackluster battle royale mode to try and compete with other games, all of which led to DICE pulling support on Battlefield V __ less than two years after its launch. Needless to say, it left a bad taste in peoples' mouths. It seems like DICE has taken its time to try and make things right with Battlefield
Supposedly set in the purely fictional time period of World War 3 and covering fully made-up characters and battles, honoring men and women for their fighting during a war that has yet to happen seems like a disservice to the War Stories of previous games. Further, with the two clear sides in battlefield 2042 guide|https://battlefield2042play.com/ 6 seemingly being NATO and Russia, there is a likelihood that Russia’s side of the conflict will not be shown. Beyond that, even though NATO is made up of the militaries from several countries, modern day warfare sees each side of the fight wielding similar gear and weaponry — instantly stripping away some of the style and gameplay diversity seen in previous War Stories. With all these problems likely to occur, dropping the story mode of the next Battlefield title seems like a wise i

Battlefield 6 has also been confirmed to have a larger player count , with rumors saying that it will double the size of the series’ past lobbies. Increasing the number of users in each match from 64 to 128, this drastic increase in players could revitalize the Battlefield community, as many series veterans have been hoping for an increased player count for some time now. With more action going on in one match than ever before, it will certainly be interesting to see how the traditional Battlefield experience changes in the sequel. With previous matches already being hectic, amplifying this signature gameplay style with larger lobbies could be a huge success factor for Battlefield
Thus far, players have found unofficial info on the setting for Battlefield 6 , the inspirations it is taking from, and the game’s scale. Players have a general idea of when the game will be revealed, too, and past decisions from EA and DICE indicate what could be shown at the event. With an official release window announced, alongside several other features rumored, here is everything that fans should anticipate when more news on Battlefield 6 arri
With the conflict essentially boiling down to two sides standing still and firing at each other while reloading wildly slow lever action rifles, it seems best that Battlefield avoids the Civil War. While there is fun to be had from Civil War simulation games , and DICE could play with history like it did during Battlefield 1 , it would be better to avoid the setting entirely. With no vehicles apart from horses and a massive lack of weapon variety, The Civil War is a poor fit for the franch
