PUBG is getting up there in age for a battle royale title , especially given the speed with which the market for these games fluctuates. Revisiting some old magic isn't a bad idea, but it does seem to ignore the much deeper problem of needing a fundamental design change to keep up with the games that PUBG inspired. Those titles have the benefit of fixing what PUBG did sub-optimally and innovating, and with so many iterations of that, now it's **PUBG ** 's turn to see if it can turn back the clock and refresh the game enough to become a stalwart of battle royale streaming once m
Originally released on PC, PUBG has since received versions on Xbox One and mobile platforms. Competitors emerged for the battle royale game, however, with the likes of Fortnite's free-to-play battle royale mode releasing on all current platforms, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V following suit in the near future. The console market space is massive, and PUBG is missing out without a PS4 vers
In an interview conducted with GamesIndustry.biz , Greene was asked about his current position within the company and what his stance was moving forward with games like PUBG and the battle royale genre as a whole. The current update doesn’t allow players to grab onto or slide down railings, which the developers say will be added in the second update. The developers also note that they’re looking for feedback from players to improve the new feat
Moving forward, it will be interesting to see if new achievements are added to PUBG down the road. While none of the achievements currently in the game are map-specific, it's possible that the upcoming winter map will have some achievements tied to it, but that's just speculation at this t

Greene has also suggested that he already has a number of ideas for what these focuses should be, and that the creation of the division is to take one of the progenitor's of the battle royale genre's ideas and to make them reality. With PUBG 's popularity waning, now seems like a good time for Greene to step back and try something new outside of that sph
