When it comes to the brass tacks, the title is all about your choices and the freedom to do as you please in a vast sea that is yours for the taking. That’s the whole meaning of the #BeMorePirate hashtag that’s become a staple of Rare’s social media campai
Speaking of AI ships, I cannot help but mention the skeletons manning the cannons on various islands. While they certainly add an intriguing game mechanic for advanced players, I find them to be rather annoying most of the times. It’s not that I dislike their presence there, but I do believe they are a bit too accurate for creatures that lack eyes. I’ve probably taken more damage from them than from enemy crews and I’ve fought plenty of other players. So, I can only hope that the AI crew on skeleton ships will be a little less of a nuisance when it comes to firing their cannons. Otherwise, we all might as well say goodbye to our vessels for g
With little time left in 2018, Rare is already preparing for next year, beginning with a new PVP mode called The Arena . There is no release date as of yet, but players should expect it to launch early in 2019. According to Polygon , The Arena is not a Battle Royale mode, although the game mode will allow players to compete with one another quickly. The Arena will pit gamers against one another in a search for treasure. The new PVP mode will include a new tavern and a new trading company, The Sea Dogs, who will face off against the players as w
Ship customization right now offers plenty of options. However, players are still locked to choosing from predefined sails, hulls, and figureheads. While I can certainly understand why Rare has gone this way instead of allowing people to freely design their own, certain aspects of ship customization could be expanded on. Let’s take the flags, for exam
After years of waiting, Sea of Thieves is nearly upon us. While many are gearing up to take to the high seas with their friends this coming Tuesday, we recently learned a few more details about the game just before its rele
Aside from that, Forsaken Shores also brings a generous helping of new cosmetics and titles to earn, alongside tweaks to make the inventory a little more user-friendly. Is all this enough to tempt players back? That’s up to you to decide. It’s free, though, so that’s definitely a st
There were many other questions throughout the thread that dealt with quests, ship naming, and caves/dungeons throughout the game world. If you want to check the whole thread out for yourself, you can find it he
Yes. The art team have done a bunch of work on different cosmetics, and I've already seen some early work on an oriental style that is super cool. We will see more cosmetic styles come in as we move forw
Another popular topic during the AMA dealt with character customization in Sea of Thieves . Reddit user ColoniaCroisant asked about the possibility of seeing different pirates from various other regions around the world. The response gave players hope to see this more in future content dr
Sea of Thieves lets players suit up as a pirate and embark on high seas adventures in a quest for treasure! But no loot comes without risk of combat. While other pirate crews are the most unpredictable and certainly, have the potential to be the most dangerous, the in-game AI enemies can pose their own problems
After players rushed to Sea of Thieves at the promise of gaming treasures, some have been left disappointed that the waters don't run that deep - and apparently the game's issues were apparent even during the making of the game. The game made a huge impression pre-release, with hands-on events with the game promising an incredibly fun pirate-based experien
For all skeleton encounters, take out the ranged ones first (and focus on skeletons manning cannons if your own ship is within firing range). The easiest Strategy game missions|Https://strategyreviewer.Com/ is to have crew mates lure groups of skeletons near your own ship cannons and even better, to use red gunpowder barrels to one-shot any group of skelet
I think we already established that the Sea of Thieves community is awesome. It’s tight-knit, it’s mostly friendly, and most people do not take it personally when their ship is sunk and their booty - stolen. After all, that’s what the game is all about, right? But, surely, most people would not attack an empty ship, just to get some cheap laughs by watching it sink to the bottom of the sea, right? Well, wrong. In fact, often you will find that other crews do not attack you for your loot, they will not even check if you have loot. They just want to make you feel miserable by having to respawn over, and over, and over ag
Elsewhere in the DLC, there’s going to be a new month-long campaign centered around this new area, with new Cargo Run quests at the Merchant’s Alliance (alongside lots of other things, changing on a week-by-week basis). Think of them as Monster Hunter ’s egg-carrying quests, only with a whole lot more oc
