Sure, with the debut of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we've seen plenty of games loosely based on their big screen counterparts (e.g., Iron Man , Thor : God of Thunder, Captain America : Super Soldier, etc.). Most would agree, however, such iterations have been little more than hackneyed cash grabs to coincide with and supplement the movies. It's a shame, too, since many of the Marvel characters and their abilities could lend themselves to entertaining video game exploration. Not the least of which includes Iron Man. With his impressive stock of armored suits - all with different capabilities, weapons, and purposes (see: the Hulk Buster ) - and a rogues gallery only briefly tapped into onscreen, Tony Stark is ripe for his own blockbuster video game franchise, one that could rival Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham ser
That said, there's hardly much to complain about in Julio's mod; and if you keep watching, you'll even see Iron Man perform an elbow drop into a tank and swat a flying helicopter to the ground. The destruction factor is fun, entertaining, and spectacular, but it provides only a tease of what the character is capable of in terms of story and developm
The popular franchise has proven a suitable playground for modification, most notably by JulioNIB , who put Hulk and Spider-Man in GTA IV a few years back. And now, the modder has created an impressive and authentic Iron Man mod for GTA V that proves why the hero is so fit for the gaming screen. Check out the video ab
And fans certainly seem to think so - or more specifically, video game modders . For those unfamiliar, "modding" derives from the verb "modify," and refers to the act of altering hardware or software to perform a function not originally intended by the designer - like dropping a superhero in the middle of **Grand Theft Auto ** , for exam
"After many months of designing, testing, rewriting and re-testing, we settled on the four-player structure that you will experience in the game. It took a ton of work from our programmers and mission designers to make it work at the level we were happy wi
It baffles me as to why Rockstar would even consider a first-person mode for GTA V. Perhaps it was the success of open-world shooters like Far Cry 3 that inspired them to do this, which is understandable. However, Far Cry 3 is a shooter. It’s built as a shooter and the shooting is a huge part of the game’s appeal. Sure, there’s exploration, but the action is Far Cry’s appeal by far. Grand Theft Auto V, for all its gritty action and violence, is not a shooter. Its action comes from something less primal and more intelligent. If anything, this first-person shooter setup does more to pander to the FPS crowd than to thoughtfully expand on what Grand Theft Auto has always been about.
The Batman: Arkham video game series did for gaming what Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy __ did for film: it fully realized the medium as a dynamic, complex, and accolade-worthy platform for superheroes, while still maintaining the respective franchise's impressive scope. It's a wonder, then, that more video game producers have yet to capitalize on this same success, or try their hand at comic book inspired games - especially considering the current cape-and-cowl trend dominating cine
This is it. When bad people die, they go into this game modification and are forced to live it out forever. The second Skyrim modification on our list takes a classic and nostalgic childhood symbol, the lovable Thomas The Tank Engine, and makes the toot-tooting educational symbol a horrifying, fire-breathing murderer. It's not this blatant attack on our childhood memories that makes it horrifying, it's the steadfast unblinking eyes and unwavering smile that make Thomas The Tank Engine one of the most horrifying things we've ever seen. As he toot-toots his way into your nightmares, gamers can be sure Thomas has no remorse. There are no tears. There are only tra
As some may already know, a big incentive to move to the Xbox One and PS4 versions of GTAV is the fact that players can bring over their GTA Online characters, progress, and any Jobs they created. That's a one way street, as any progress gained in the new versions, as well as leaderboard changes, won't be seen on the Xbox 360 and
"Our initial idea was to build on the concept of Story Mode heists to make a new gameplay experience for gta 5 Expanded and Enhanced Online that was more focused on cooperation, where everyone could play to their individual strengths and feel like they had a stake in the outcome. One of the challenges is that unlike a heist in Story Mode, every player needs to feel central to the action at all times, and that’s much more challenging than it appe
Players jumping to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V will have a little more to do in-game than the last-gen versions, a bonus for anyone returning to Los Santos. The purpose of this new content, as Rockstar puts it, is to give returning players a way to "experience the game's massive world in new and exciting ways." Although, with the existence of GTA Online and the potential still contained within, new ways to play the game aren't that hard to achieve alre
